This is a tool used to focus in on a segment of DNA and copy it billions of times over. PCR is used every day to diagnose diseases, identify bacteria and viruses, match criminals to crime scenes, and in many other ways. CELKHA BIOSCIENCES provides an avenue for clients to step up to the virtual lab bench and see how it works.
Molecular Dynamic Simulation is a computational method that calculates the time dependent behaviour of a molecular system and provides detailed information on the fluctuations and conformational changes of proteins and nucleic acids. These methods are now routinely used to investigate the structure, dynamics and thermodynamics of biological molecules and their complexes. They are also used in the determination of structures from x-ray crystallography and from NMR experiments.
Molecular dynamics simulations permit the study of complex, dynamic processes that occur in biological systems. Read more >
This is the process of generating some quantity of a specific protein using living organisms while protein purification is the process of separating a specific protein from a mixture of proteins and other molecules. Using latest advances in Protein Technologies, CELKHA BIOSCIENCES strives to provide the highest quality custom protein services in the industry. We work closely with you, analyze your project at the planning stage and take several approaches to ensure you get the results you are looking for. Each step of the process is closely monitored by our Protein Experts. If any problems arise, we work diligently to address them for you. Read more >
This is the process of determining the precise order of nucleotides within a DNA molecule. It includes any method or technology that is used to determine the order of the four bases—adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine—in a strand of DNA. The advent of rapid DNA sequencing methods has greatly accelerated biological and medical research and discovery.
Knowledge of DNA sequences has become indispensable for basic biological research, and in numerous applied fields such as medical diagnosis, biotechnology, forensic biology, virology and biological systematics. Read more >
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is a physical phenomenon in which nuclei in a magnetic field absorb and re-emit electromagnetic radiation. This energy is at a specific resonance frequency which depends on the strength of the magnetic field and the magnetic properties of the isotope of the atoms; in practical applications, the frequency is similar to VHF and UHF television broadcasts (60–1000 MHz). NMR allows the observation of specific quantum mechanical magnetic properties of the atomic nucleus. Read more >
This is a laboratory technique for the separation of a mixture. The mixture is dissolved in a fluid called the mobile phase, which carries it through a structure holding another material called the stationary phase. The various constituents of the mixture travel at different speeds, causing them to separate. The separation is based on differential partitioning between the mobile and stationary phases. Subtle differences in a compound’s partition coefficient result in differential retention on the stationary phase and thus changing the separation. Read more >
Cell culture is the process by which cells are grown under controlled conditions, generally outside of their natural environment. Cell culture conditions can vary for each cell type, but artificial environments consist of a suitable vessel with substrate or medium that supplies the essential nutrients (amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, growth factors, hormones, and gases (CO2, O2), and regulates the physio-chemical environment (pH buffer, osmotic pressure, temperature). Most cells require a surface or an artificial substrate (adherent or monolayer culture) whereas others can be grown free floating in culture medium (suspension culture). Read more >

CELKHA BIOSCIENCES offers a customized battery of bioassays and disease models to:
- Assess the therapeutic efficacy of lead compounds and/or drug development candidates by analyzing their effects on key physiological functions in animals;
- Generate data and reagents for evaluation mechanism of action of test agents and efficacy biomarker discovery
- Screen for potential side effects caused by the administration of such compounds at relevant doses; Read more >
Our in vivo testing capabilities are supplemented by biochemical and molecular biology techniques. In addition, we offer functional assays using primary cell cultures established from various mouse tissues under disease model and normal conditions. These assays provide tools to study mechanism of action of various test therapeutics or potential target genes and to explore drug efficacy biomarkers.
Our non-invasive biophotonic imaging capabilities support studies to evaluate biodistribution of bioluminescently and/or fluorescently labeled test agents in healthy animals and in disease models.
